New Delhi : Members of Parliament of both the Houses will give a warm farewell to outgoing President Pranab Mukherjee Sunday evening in the Central Hall of the Parliament House, where his successor will be sworn in two days later on July 25.
Mukherjee will be presented with a memento in the form of a booklet signed by all MPs as a mark of their respect and gratitude. Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan announced in the House that the booklet was placed in the Central Hall for the MPs to append their signatures
for four days, up to July 20. She herself came to the Central Hall to sign the booklet after adjourning the House for the day as a mark of respect to death of sitting BJP member Vinod Khanna (70) who died on April 27.
