Mumbai: Noisy scenes marked a meet organised by the Congress today to discuss party vice-president Rahul Gandhi’s scheduled visit to Mumbai on January 15 and 16. There was slogan shouting as those belonging to rival factions tried to ensure that the route of Rahul’s rally covered specific areas.
There were some media reports that party legislators Naseem Khan and Aslam Shaikh indulged in a scuffle during the meeting. Congress MLC Bhai Jagtap, however, refuted such reports. The two legislators also denied having indulged in any altercation.
