New Delhi: A delegation of broadcasters and others from the entertainment industry today met Information and Broadcasting minister Arun Jaitley and discussed various issues, including those related to carriage and clearances. Sources said that the delegation, comprising broadcasters like Aroon Poorie, Rajat Sharma, Sudhanshu Vats and members of CII among others, met Jaitley and brought the concerns of the industry to his notice.
“Various issues were discussed with the minister in the meeting which was held today morning here. Concerns about issues related to carriage, the setting up of a single window clearance system for film permissions etc, were discussed,” a member of the delegation said. The member said that Jaitley was also apprised about the CII Big Picture Summit, which began yesterday but refused to reveal more saying that it was a “closed door” meeting.
