New Delhi: BJP will stage a protest outside the Election Commission headquarters here tomorrow against denial of permission to a rally to be addressed by Narendra Modi in Varanasi.
The demonstration, to be led by the party’s Vice President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, is expected to be see the participation of BJP’s MPs and Delhi MLAs.
The party is angry over the denial of permission to Modi’s rally by the Varanasi district authorities and vows to fight out.
“The decision of the district authorities is biased and politically-motivated,” Naqvi said.
This will be the second time ever that BJP will stage a protest against the EC since 1987 when the poll body had banned use of ‘Lotus’ symbol.
