Today’s kids at a tender age can give the grown up chefs a run for their money if given a chance. And this has been competently displayed at ‘Junior Marsterchef’ were the young talented kids from across India are dishing out mouth watering recipes. Harshieka Doshi who stands tall amongst the young participants, talks about her journey so far in the show and her future plans.
Since when have you had an inclination towards cooking?
I have been cooking since I was four years old. I started cooking while helping my elders in the house. The first thing I cooked was a black forest cake!
What all did you do to prepare for the show?
I put in a lot of effort to get in the show. I would practice for two hours every day.
What are your future plans on cooking?
I want to be the best chef in the whole of Asia. Asia is very big and after I complete that I want to go to all the places and become the best chef in the whole world.
Tells us about your favourite judge?
My favourite judge, I actually have no clue because all three of them are my favourite.
Tell us something about your favourite contestants?
No one is my favourite contestant. The person who I was very close to is Sanya, she was my good friend but she also got out of the show. She was my very close friend and I feel so suffocated without her. I will definitely meet her she is a very good chef and really cooks awesome food. We were closer than sisters.
What interests you apart from cooking?
I want to study arts! I want to study drawing and I want to become a good chef plus an artist. And also a sports girl because I love sports. I draw every day and can’t live without it. I have drawn a lot of paintings for chef Kunal and he also says that I really draw well. I love participating in my school sports and inter school sports and have been chosen for a lot of competition. I love running and skipping and am the best runner in my class! So I love sports and drawing as they both are my favourites. I do sing and dance but I don’t like it that much.
Which is your favourite dish you like to prepare and eat?
My favourite dish is a Mille-feuille, it’s a French desert and I had made it in the auditions also. It’s very delicious!
What would have been your plans if you would have won the show?
I would have kept it like a memory and never let it go. With the other prizes I share them with my whole family.
