Nagpur: RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat lauded the army carrying out surgical strike and also praises the Modi-led government. Bhagwat said India was steadily progressing under the Narendra Modi government and also hit out at those indulging in appeasing “bigotry forces”.
“The present government is a one that wants to works and is not one to sit idle. There are lot of expectations and there is still a lot to be done. But the way this government is functioning there is a believe they will do something,” said Bhagwat delivering his annual Vijaya Dashmi speech at the Reshimbagh Ground here.
Bhagwat also said the exercise of power by Indian government by way of these strikes, have proved that the world stands with those who are powerful.
“Nothing works without power, irrespective of whether it is good or bad. We hadn’t displayed our strength till now. That’s why whenever tension used to arise, America would ask us to keep quiet,” the RSS chief said.
The ongoing unrest in Kashmir, tension at the border and cow protection issue was the main focus of the annual Dussehra address of the RSS chief.
While praising the present Modi-led government Bhagwat said that the present government instilled belief in society and that nobody can deny that the country is steadily progressing.
“We all know that there are forces in the world that do not want that India’s influence rise in the world. Those whose shops run on division runs on bigotry, they don’t want India to progress.”
“The influence of such forces is evident in our country and we can also find people who indulge in appeasement of these forces for their own interests, added Bhagwat.
