New Delhi: There are no immediate plans to use vaccination to treat dengue and the main focus to prevent the disease would continue to be cleanliness and medicines, the Lok Sabha was informed today.

Health Minister J P Nadda said there are also no plans as of now to cure swine-flu using vaccines. Asked whether there are plans to use vaccines to cure dengue, he said for dengue and swine-flu, medicines would continue to be used.

Responding to a question on Mission Indradhanush which aims at covering children who are either partially vaccinated or unvaccinated against seven life-threatening diseases, he said no irregularities, malpractices or complaints including use of expired medicines have been noticed or received by the government.

He also said no separate funds have been allocated or sanctioned for Indradhanush for both the phases.
