Additional Superintendent of Police Shailendra Rai said the body was recovered yesterday evening. And when the body was taken to the village today, the villagers staged protest and pelted stones at policemen, injuring Ajitmal mahila thana in-charge Subhadhra Verma, he said.

The father of the deceased, Amritlal, alleged that his daughter was abducted, raped, and then murdered.
