A 36-year-old woman was allegedly stabbed to death by her husband at their home in northeast Delhi’s Dilshad Garden. According to Police, the woman was stabbed almost 35 times with a knife and she died on the spot. Meanwhile, when the couple’s 15-year-old son went to save his mother, his father allegedly attacked him as well. The boy suffered stab wounds in his hand. He was admitted to Guru Teg Bahadur Shastri hospital. His condition was stated to be stable. The husband is on the run since then.

An initial probe has revealed that the man Binod Bisht suspected that his wife Rekha was having an extramarital affair. The accused works as a manager in a tent and catering firm. On Wednesday around 5.30am, Binod returned home with a bag in his hand. Soon, the couple entered into an argument over the issue. Their elder son Vineet Bisht was sleeping in the adjacent room while Binod’s brother was in his flat on the same floor. The couple’s younger son, who is seven years old, was away at his grandparent’s place.

The police said that during the altercation, Binod bolted his brother’s flat from outside. He took out a knife from his bag and began attacking Rekha. When Rekha started screaming for help, Vineet rushed to their room and found his father attacking his mother. Vineet tried to stop his father but he attacked him as well. The injured mother-son duo was rushed to GTB Hospital where Rekha was pronounced dead on arrival.

Meanwhile, a case of murder and attempt to murder has been registered at the Dilshad Garden police station. Teams have been formed to track down Binod and arrest him.
