Khurram approached doctors staying in hostel through social media and became friends with them. An officer told Indian Express, “In the meantime, the accused managed to get hold of a 15-page notebook with a cover of the hospital — carried by junior doctors. He wrote his name inside and used it to get past security.”

Later he was asked for his identity, and resident doctors also asked him few questions to which he could not give a satisfactory reply. And later doctors called the police who then arrested Adnan Khurram.
