Bihar: Exam postpone, University forgets to print question papers


After making news for question paper leak ,Bihar once again is in the headlines and this time for not printing question papers. Yes the tragic incident happend with students of postgraduate who could not appear for the exams and the reason for that was question paper was not available. 94 students of the Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University (TMBU) could not write their last paper of the second semester postgraduate Hindi exam. When the Registrar of the university inquired from the Controller of Examinations, he was told the question papers were not delivered by the printing press.

Taking strong note of the matter, the Vice Chancellor of the university, Nalini Kant Jha, has served a show-cause notice to the Hindi department and section officer of the examination control department. But, according to the HT report, this is a second incident of serious university administrative lapses, especially during exams. Recently, a degree part II exam was postponed by a year because of delay in printing answer books.
