25 students injured in stampede in Kashmir



Srinagar: At least twenty five students were injured today in a stampede after a rumour that a wild bear had entered the school premises in Pulwama district of south Kashmir, officials said. “25 students were injured and later discharged after first aid. The stampede was triggered by rumours that a wild bear entered into a private school, run by Abu Haneefa Memorial Trust, during morning assembly at Rajpora, 45 kms from here, the officials said.

According to the officials, a black dog strayed into the school and the students mistook it for a wild bear and started running for safety
