Nikita Patel

IES Management College and Research Centre

FPJ1_Nikita PatelI applied after I got to know from my college that such a scholarship is up for grabs. I was not very nervous, and went for the interview equipped with the knowledge that I have gathered over the years, including my bachelor’s degree in business administration. I want to specialise in the banking sector and look at profiles there to work in future. When I came to know that I had been awarded the scholarship, I was in college and I immediately called my parents. Thank God for mobile phones! I will be using the amount towards my education expenses.

Pankaj Khokhar

Durgadevi Saraf Institute of Management Studies

FPJ2_Pankaj KhokarAfter application, I didn’t have much time to prepare for the interview, but I was confident of answering finance-related questions since I have done my graduation in commerce. And that’s why I wasn’t very nervous. Since the email arrived on Diwali day, I was at home and jumped up to tell my family immediately about me winning the scholarship. It was a ‘wow’ moment for me! After graduation, I want to have my own start-up for which I’m already working on the feasibility. I am in the process of carrying out research for it. I want to use this amount for my educational needs.

Sumiran Srivastava

ITM Business School

FPJ3_Sumiran SrivastavI was not that nervous about the scholarship interview since I have some work experience with Deloitte after my BTech in electrical engineering. I was a research analyst, so I had a fair idea of the field, and was confident enough when talking at the interview. Luckily when I checked the email that informed me of winning the award, I was at home (due to Diwali holidays) so I could inform my family immediately, and we all celebrated. I have been selected for a research programme at IIM Bangalore, so I’ll use this scholarship amount towards that purpose.

Apeksha Shriyan

SIES College of Management Studies

FPJ4_Apeksha ShriyanEven after I filled out the forms, I was quite nervous about the interview. Since the postgraduate head in my college has made the announcement of the scholarship, I was certain that many management students might have applied for it and so I was not sure I would even have a chance of winning it. I prepared by reading on basic finance subjects. They asked basic questions on finance, and I was glad I had prepared all those topics. When I read the email informing me that I had won, I was ecstatic. I immediately called my father to share the news.

Sumaiyya Mokashi

Oriental Institute of Management Studies

FPJ5_Sumaiyya MukashiFrom my institute, three students were selected to apply for this scholarship, after the faculty members told us about it. We were also told that an interview will be conducted to judge the ability of the student. I studied about finance and banking. In fact the email informing me that I won came in on Lakshmi puja day, and I informed my family immediately as I read it. They were all very happy and proud of me, and told me that this scholarship has come in as a blessing on a festive occasion. I’m going to save the amount and use it towards my fees.

Prachi Govekar

D. Y. Patil School of Management

FPJ6_Prachi GovekarWhen I came to know about this scholarship, after my faculty announced it in college, I applied since my academic background is strong. I read up on financial subjects, including the golden rule of finance, capital and stock markets. And since marks at various exams were taken into consideration, I thought I had a chance. I hadn’t checked my email in a week, and when I did, I was happily surprised with this news. I was ecstatic, and immediately called my parents to inform them. I’ll be using this scholarship amount towards my miscellaneous education expenses.

Shamika Vaidya

C. K. Shah Vijapurwala Institute of Management

FPJ7_Shamika vaidyaThe HEF team had come to our college for a conference and had announced the details of the scholarship at that time. I did not prepare specifically for the scholarship interview, but I was depending on the knowledge I had gathered by way of the bachelor’s degree in commerce. I would like to working in the banking sector after I complete my MBA. I checked the email after two days, and I was so happy. In fact my father had once asked me also, but I didn’t know since I hadn’t checked my email that I had won!

Bhagyashree Gupta

Lala Lajpatrai Institute of Management

FPJ8_Bhagyashree guptaI came to know about the scholarship through the internet and sent in my application straight away according to all the specifications. I knew that the interview was a major deciding factor for the scholarship so I did prepare a few topics for it, in finance as well as general knowledge. I have completed my electronics engineering, but I want to work in corporate finance after my MBA and that is why I am totally focussed on building my skills for that sector. When I read the email that informed me that I have won the scholarship, I called my parents straight away.

Nishigandha Parkar

Rizvi Institute of Management Studies & Research

FPJ9_Nishigandha ParkarOur college director infor-med the students about the scholarship, and that’s how I applied for it. I had a telephonic interview in the first round, and I was nervous, but they initially asked me general questions about myself, my family background and my interests. Later they asked me tax-related questions, which I answered comfortably. After I complete my MBA with specialisation in finance, I want to work in the banking sector, either in credit management or investor relations, so I will be looking for such profiles. I plan on using the scholarship amount for my fees in the next year.

Ankit Jain

NMIMS School of Business Management

FPJ10_Ankit JainAfter I applied for the scholarship, during the interview I was asked general questions regarding my career path and my interests, apart from my knowledge in finance. I mentioned to them that after completing my MBA I want to get into corporate finance, so they asked me questions regarding that. I was working with Tech Mahindra on its strategy team analysing reports and looking at the strengths and weaknesses, where I built a solid foundation of the field after my engineering in electronics. Luckily, I checked my email after finishing the puja on Diwali, and got to know that I have been selected for the scholarship.
