Itsy Bitsy: A Foodie Paradise Miniature Size!


Mumbai is opening up with great concepts of food, and this lays down a multi faceted gathering, at the Itsy Bitsy Food Fest which is a two day festival this weekend from the 19-20 March. They have ordained themselves to highlight the underdogs of the culinary world.
Itsy Bitsy turns out to be India’s first Zero Wastage Food Festival, hence all the stalls offer bite size or smaller portions of serving.

The entrance welcomes you with an artistic installation of street fare that comprises of 30 food stations. With oriental lanterns and colourful shacks, Itsy Bitsy is one tantalizing spot for foodies. The sizzling aromas of freshly cooked delights will pinch your taste buds as you stroll in to an eternal bliss of food adventure. The spell of this festivity continues as you drool away with some LIVE acoustic covers in the background by fresh talents.

From mac and cheese balls to Nutella milk shake, we take you through some of our best picks that will bring out the lust for food in you!

The Joint


Catering the Mexican cravings of the city, TJ brings an eclectic spread of Tacos, Sliders and more. Executive Chef Harsh Garg recommends trying their Pita Pesto Pizza which is a Pita base tucked with freshly made yogurt sauce, cherry tomatoes and black olives. It is definitely a healthy pick on the go with a surplus taste of pure deliciousness.

Don’t go Bacon my heart says Kavo as they grill up some juicy and tender sausages. The aroma itself will pull you to their shack, salivating for a bite or two of their freshest Bacon and Sausages. With handmade picks and cuts from the finest meat, Kavo is adhering to the highest standards of quality meaty delights. Sampling their Chicken and Mozzarella sausage, you swing back to Italy with an effortless bite. You can also gorge on their signature hotdogs which are the filling version of food they offer here.

The Stick House


Calling in some swirly, springy and fun food, The Stick House executes a fabulous display of chips on a stick called the Tornado. You can choose from potato to zucchini, which is chopped into spring like form and deep fried in a crispy batter. You can further pick your toppings from Chatpata, Cheese, Mexican, Tomato, and Chilli and Lime as per your desire.

Yours Drooly


A smacking lair of fusion food is studded at Itsy Bitsy with some heavenly delights. From Shawarma Balls to Seafood Lollipops, Yours Drooly offers some lip smacking comfort food on the go. Their best pick was the mac and cheese balls, served with spicy mayo. It is definitely a drool worthy stop for foodies.

In this adulterated world of frizz, Orbango knocks your tummy door with their freshly squeezed fruit cocktails. Since it was hot they recommended going for Red Alert which is made of strawberry, watermelon and mint. With a thoroughly refreshing taste, it takes away all the bulginess you carry around Itsy Bitsy. Being freshly prepared you need to consume it within an hour.

Star Anise Patisserie


For all our desert demons, Star Anise brings their signature dish called Le Petit St Antonie which is shot, layered with Croquantine, Almond Dacquoise, Sea Salt Gianduja Cremeux, and Hazlenut Dark Chocolate Bavarois! Hell of a thing to talk about. However, its divine taste is bound to take you on cloud nine. It is not too sweet, but a perfect blend that gives justice to all its ingredients.

Milk Shake Co


Nutella, Red Velvet, Oreo are some mighty food picks that are gone viral with their Holy Mother of taste. If you are someone who goes bonkers when it comes to milk shakes, this is your homeland. I picked the Nutella flavour which was thick, creamy and loaded with Nutella to every bit of it. So slurp it down to complete your quench of thirst at the Itsy Bitsy extravaganza.

Price: 200 INR

At the end of each day all non-reusable material from each food station will be donated to an organization that helps the underprivileged. So go ahead and eat for a cause.
