Sibling love cannot be summarised in words. Bollywood has its own way of showcasing the eternal relationship in a poignant and fun way. And since a sibling love isn’t always the typical filmy love, it is easier to relate to it. There are Bollywood movies that beautifully captures the deep emotional dependence and that’s the reason we love to revisit it every now and then. Here is a look at the best on-screen Bollywood siblings.

Aishwarya Rai and Randeep Hooda
In the biographical drama Sarbjit (2016), Sarabjit Singh played by Randeep Hooda is shown accidentally crossing the Indian borders and reaches Pakistan. His sister Dalbeer Kaur played by Aishwarya Rai leaves no stone unturned to find him and bring him back home. The film truly showcases the love and care between a brother and sister.

Genelia D’Souza and Prateik Babbar
In the romantic comedy ‘Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na’ (2008), Amit (Prateik Babbar) is shown doing everything to get his sister Aditi’s (Genelia D’Souza) attention. Eventually, Aditi was his only friend but soon her new friends become her priority. Don’t you think we go through the same thing at least once in our lifetime?

Shweta Basu Prasad and Shreyas Talpade
The sports drama film Iqbal (2005), shows Iqbal, played by Shreyas Talpade, a speech and hearing impaired. His younger sister Khadija, played by Shweta Basu Prasad, is his younger sister who becomes his guide and helps him fulfil his dreams. She is the only hope and source of inspiration in Iqbal’s life.

Juhi Chawla and Sanjay Suri
A sibling love is always unconditional and can understand each other like no one else proves this movie. The movie ‘My Brother…Nikhil’ (2005) portrays the life of a protagonist, Nikhil (Sanjay Suri) ousted from the community, family and swimming team for being HIV positive. The only person to support him is his sister Anu (Juhi Chawla) with whom he shares a close relationship.

Aishwarya Rai and Shah Rukh Khan
The action drama film ‘Josh’ (2000) is one of the few films that give us some serious sibling loves. Max (Shah Rukh Khan) and Shirley (Aishwarya Rai) are twins who spent all their time together with no parents to guide and raise them. SRK is shown playing an over protective but cool brother.

Karishma Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan
The action crime drama Fiza (2000) features Hrithik Roshan and Karisma Kapoor in lead roles. The film portrays the intense relationship between a brother and sister. Amaan (Hrithik) disappears in the 1993 Bombay riots and turns to terrorism, while his sister Fiza (Karisma) is on a mission to bring his brother back home. While in the end, Fiza kills her brother to give him a dignified death.

Arbaaz Khan and Kajol
In Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya (1998), Vishal Thakur aka ‘Bade Bhaiya’ (Arbaaz Khan) is Muskan’s (Kajol) brother as well as mother and father. Vishal is over-protective of his baby sister and even she respects every word of his brother. Even when Muskan falls in love with Suraj (Salman Khan) she waits for his approval. Needless to say, getting Bade Bhaiya’s approval is a tough job.
