Actor-director Akashdeep Sabir, who will be seen in Shah Rukh Khan starrer ZERO, says that he has enjoyed being part of the film. Talking about his role, he says, “I play an 80s film producer and am part of a small sequence at a film Party where Abhay Deol and Katrina meet. The length never mattered. Even if I’m needed for one frame in an Anand L Rai film, I will do it. They saw me in my Facebook ad that was being blasted all across social media, theatres and TV,” he says.

In fact, the actor, who has directed many award shows in the past, has worked with Shah Rukh as well. “I’ve directed Shah Rukh Khan in stage shows so many times and we go back a long way as associates. His respect and love have remained the same over the years and I have always maintained that he is the most talented actor we currently have,” he says, adding, “Be it the Morani and Soorma world tours where I have directed over three world tours with SRK, Kajol, Juhi Chawla and Karisma Kapoor or directing specially curated TV mega-events like the Tribute to Kishore Kumar, ‘Now or Never’, a mega concert for Sahara, SRK has always impressed me. He is the most hardworking of them all. I found Shah Rukh to be the most hardworking intelligent and humble superstar I know. In one of our international shows, Madonna came over, talking about Shah Rukh. She even danced to ‘Chaiyyan Chaiyyan’, such is the man’s popularity.”

Ask him which SRK films does he love, and he says, “’Kal Ho Na Ho’, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’, ‘My Name Is Khan’, ‘Darr’, ‘Baazigar’, ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’, ‘Koyla’, ‘Karan Arjun’, ‘Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman’… I can go on and on.”
