‘Working with Sanjay Dutt is an honour’, says Sharad Kelkar

Sharad Kelkar is still surprised over the news of being roped in for Bhoomi, reports Rohit Pramar

Sharad Kelkar, a known face on small screen, is all set to play a negative role in Sanjay Dutt’s comeback film Bhoomi. The actor, who last seen in John Abraham’s Rocky Handsome, is surprised with the news himself.

Speaking to FPJ, Sharad shares, “Honestly speaking, it’s a moment of surprise for me because it’s big director and a production house. The star cast has some of the biggest names from the industry so I’m honoured to be included in the list. It’s a big honour for me to work on this project.”

The actor, who has worked in popular TV series like Saat Phere and Uttaran, says, “Sanjay Dutt is a legend. I have grown up watching his movies and I’m a big fan of his. So it’s an honour for me to work with him. Somebody else was also approached for this role, I know this because I’ve a few friends in the production house and we both happened to arrive for the audition on the same day. So it’s a great feeling to be accepted, I’m really looking forward to reading the story and working on this project.

Directed by Omung Kumar, Bhoomi will go on floors next week in Agra. The revenge drama will also feature actress Aditi Rao Hydari as Dutt’s daughter and it is slated to release on August 4.
