There are actors and films, you wish to shower your appreciation on and hence they are awarded by the prestigious award academies of India. Then there are films that damage your brain and you wish you could ask for your money back and your time.

And for all the victims of bad films, the 6th Annual Ghanta Awards is back to avenge the brain damage that bad movies caused to the audiences! The hilarious and wacky Ghanta Awards has been received very well by the film fraternity and audiences alike, in the past five years.

Among the nominees for the Worst Debut, we have Athiya Shetty and her co-star, Sooraj Pancholi for HERO. Comedian Kapil Sharma may have been a hit on television but his debut film failed miserable, he too is a nominee for the worst debut award. Also Karan Singh Grover for HATE STORY 3 and ALONE and Mandana Karini for Bhaag Johnny.

Among the worst films for the year, Rohit Shetty’s DILWALE tops the chart with Vikas Bahl’s royal disaster SHAANDAAR and also Anurag Kashyap’s BOMBAY VELVET. It’ll be a treat to watch comedians Radhika Vaz, Neeti Palta, Sanjay Rajoura and Manan Desai bash these films, left right and center for their atrocities on the audience.

For the uninformed, Ghanta Awards is a live show fuelled by online voting by the audience. A panel of witty and distinguished judges along with the exciting online voting system recognizes the worst of Bollywood every year.

Actress and entrepreneur Shruti Seth feels, “It’s that time of the year when the worst of the worst are honoured at The Ghanta awards. Year after year we have received appreciation and acknowledgment from the audiences as well as the fraternity. We’re hoping for the same this time as well. It takes a mighty heart to laugh at oneself; I am glad that Bollywood has warmed up to it now. It’s all in good spirit!”
