When Padma Shree awardee, Priyanka Chopra decided to play elder sister to Ranveer Singh there was quite a stir in the media. Everyone wanted to know what it would be like to see them together as siblings and that too Ranveer playing the younger one. However all who came out of the theatres seeing Dil Dhadak Ne Do, fell truly and completely in love with the sibling revelry.
Their comfort their camaraderie was all exceptional and completely relatable and now up next is Omung Kumar’s Sarbjit once more we will be experiencing raw emotions of a bother and sister. This time being played by Randeep Hooda and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. While everyone who has seen the rushes of the film have been saying there have been no two people who have worked such wonders with their role and shown such marked growth within a film, the audience is yet to experience it and trade analysts are wondering if they would be able to create the same sense of home, Priyanka and Ranveer did.
“It is a completely different genre and there cannot be any obvious comparisons yet, the fact is that there haven’t been too many films in Bollywood which delve into the relationship with a brother and sister as the primary story line. There have been many films which have songs on brother and sister bonding etc but nothing that is completely based on their relationship, so it is obvious that there will be some parallels drawn between the two films especially where chemistry is concerned. Ranveer-Priyanka having had worked together previously did have an added bonus on Randeep-Aishwarya, however since it is their first outing together, perhaps Ash and Randeep would manage something superlative, never know!” quipped the analyst.
