Actor Ryan Gosling, who plays the lead in the sequel to “Blade Runner”, says the new film will be bleaker than the Ridley Scott-directed original. Scott presented a chaotic dystopian world in his groundbreaking sci-fi movie “Blade Runner” and the sequel “2049”, coming after a gap of 35-years, is a continuation of the same story. Gosling teased the story at CinemaCon, reported Entertainment Weekly. “It’s the same iconic universe, but it’s changed over the course of the 30-year gap. It’s a lot bleaker in some ways. The director (Denis Villeneuve) describes it as toxic. But it’s still the Blade Runner universe,” he added.
