Varun Dhawan is currently one of the most successful actors of Bollywood. Especially, ever since he debuted in the films, he hasn’t given any single flop so far. However, we recently came across with an interesting information about this Judwaa 2 star which may surprise you.
Well, we all know that Varun made his grand debut from Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year alongside Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra. But does anyone know that the actor had auditioned for two films before SOTY? Yes, the actor had auditioned for Academy Award-winning film Life Of Pi for the role of Suraj Sharma and Dhobi Ghat for the role of Prateik Babbar, but got rejected from both the films. Recently, when Varun made an appearance at an event called Jagran Cinema Summit organised by journalist and critic Mayank Shekhar where he divulged this secret. As per the DNA’s report, Varun had mentioned during debate on nepotism that he had once auditioned for Aamir Khan’s Dhobi Ghat without informing anyone and the moment his father got a whiff of it, he got him out of the film as he was still unprepared to face the camera. Wasn’t that surprising?
However, while concluding about it, the actor had said, “All’s well that ends well”. After all, Varun has known for his gentleman behaviour and his passion towards acting and work is praiseworthy. On the work front, Varun will be next seen in his father David Dhawan’s directorial venture Judwaa 2, which is the remake of Salman Khan starrer 1997’s hit film Judwaa. The film also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu in the female lead. The film is all set to hit the screens on September 29.
