The gorgeous Sridevi is celebrating her 54th birthday today. The talented actor started her career at the age of 8, as a child artist in Tamil films. After that, she acted in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada and Bollywood.
In Bollywood, she debuted as a child artist in Julie in 1975 and as lead actor in Solva Sawan in 1978. She also acted in Mawaali, Tohfa, Himmatwala, Mr. India, Chandni, Sadma, Nagina, Lamhe, Gumrah, Laadla and Judaai among many other films.
In 2012, after taking a break for 15 years, she returned to Bollywood with her powerful performance in English Vinglish. Recently, she was seen in MOM.
She is a mother to two daughters, Jhanvi and Khushi. She as a ‘MOM’ is extremely concerned about her elder daughter and hence, wants to find the truths associated with her life.
Sridevi was seen in sarees in most of her movies. Remember, Mr India, Chandni, among others? In Mr India, there was the legendary romantic song “Kaate Nahin Katate” opposite Anil Kapoor. Sridevi wore a blue chiffon saree.
In Chandni, in the song “Tere Mere Hooton”, she wore a yellow saree, and showed that even a saree can make you look damn sexy. This trend was followed by Kajol in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Khusi Kabhi Gham. She also seen in other movies wearing a saree — Mr. India, Chandni, English Vinglish, Judaai, Sadma, and many other films.
