Popular Telugu star and Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan was booked for allegedly making allegations against news channels TV9, ABN Andhra Jyothi, TV5 and their management. Yes, a case has been registered in at the Banjara Hills police station from Gundelly Rajesh, member of Telangana Union of Working Journalists (TUWJ), who alleged that the actor and his several associates had recently tweeted and posted a video online which shows actress Sri Reddy abusing the actor with an unparliamentary word.
Mr Rajesh also said that the channels had telecast muted videos but Pawan Kalyan and other tweeted unedited original version of the video. Surprisingly, he further added in a complaint that the actor’s fans were repeatedly making threats and abusive calls to the staff of these media houses.
Reportedly, Sri Reddy had dragged Pawan Kalyan into the debate by demanding his reaction to her allegations of exploitation of women in the film industry. While making her demands, the actress-victim made a derogatory comment on Pawan Kalyan’s mother, and made an indecent gesture.
Mr Rajesh mentioned in his complaint to the Banjara Hills police that “Pawan Kalyan and others have resorted to this crime by fraudulently and dishonestly committed forgery of the above said electronic document by illegally downloading it from the website without obtaining any consent from TV9 and showcasing it as genuine for the purpose of cheating and harming the reputation of journalists in general, and those of TV9 in particular.”
Earlier, ABN Andhra Jyothi news channel’s manager had filed a complaint against a power star for alleging that the media house was “being targeted with forged evidences”.
