Sonam Kapoor to inaugurate Neerja Bhanot chowk in Mumbai


Sonam Kapoor won hearts after her role as Neerja Bhanot in Ram Madhavani’s film Neerja. The film gained critical acclaim and Sonam Kapoor’s performance was highly appreciated by both critics and fans.

In the honour of Neerja Bhanot, Sonam Kapoor will be inaugurating Neerja Bhanot chowk today. It is located next to Neerja Bhanot’s school Bombay Scottish School in Mumbai. Sonam will be joined by Yuva Sena head Aditya Thackeray. When Sonam Kapoor heard about the junction being named after Neerja Bhanot, she immediately hopped on board to pay tribute to the late air hostess.

Sonam Kapoor’s Neerja was based on Neerja Bhanot’s life who was killed while saving 359 passengers in a hijacked PAN AM flight in 1986.
