Rick Hoffman’s Louis Litt from American legal drama “Suits” is a fan favourite character and the actor is surprised by the popularity of the TV show in countries like Australia and India. “I can’t believe its popularity. I am starting to see it in Australia. It is just beyond my expectations. It is such a special place to be when people all over the world enjoy the TV show that you are in. I thank fans in India for being so supportive. I connect with them on Twitter,” Hoffman said.
The drama, created by Aaron Korsh, is set at a fictional law firm in New York City and revolves around the relationship between a talented college dropout Mike Ross (Patrick J Adams), who is hired by a top lawyer Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) despite never actually attending law school.
Louis is one of the senior lawyers in the firm, who shares a love-hate relationship with Harvey. In the course of five seasons, Hoffman’s character has become a name partner and his relationship dynamics with Harvey have also changed. Season six of “Suits”, which airs in India on Comedy Central every Saturday at 7 PM, focuses more on his personal life and Hoffman says he is having fun portraying a character that has become more complex over the years.
“There is more growth. It is definitely a lot more fun playing on more than one level. He has got six years and the writers have done a great job with this character.”
