Says Tiger Shroff to Nikita Wadhawan as he hopes that his next is a box office hit
It’s been some time that Tiger Shroff has made a Bollywood debut but the actor still hasn’t been able to deliver a box office hit. With his new movie, the actor hopes to break the jinx. “The fact that it is my fourth film, it feels great. I am really counting on this film. So I am looking forward to working some magic,” Tiger wished.

For his new film Munna Michael, the actor has collaborated with his favourite director Sabbir Khan and hopes that their comfort level will help him get his first box office hit. “He is such a clear director in his head, he knows what he wants and it makes my life easier to perform. I hope that the people will see our hard work and like the film,” says Tiger. Sabbir and Tiger have collaborated before for ‘Heropanti’ and ‘Bhaagi’.
After his debut movie ‘Heropanti’ four years ago, Tiger has gained some experience and now he got a chance to share his wisdom with newcomer Niddhi Agarwal. Talking about working with the debutant Tiger says, “It was great working with her, as I got where she is coming from. She is a very hardworking girl and she was very nervous when we started. She doesn’t know the ways yet, so as much as possible I try to motivate and push her. Whenever she needed it I was there. I wouldn’t say that I am that wise to help her. All that she needs right now is hard work.”
Boy with fluid body
Tiger who is quite an amazing dancer never tries to tone his dancing down so that his co-stars could match up to him. “Even though Niddhi is a trained dancer I never toned it down. Always made her tone it up. She matched up really well has she had trained very hard for it,” the ‘Bhaagi’ actor added that he is the same with rumoured girlfriend Disha Patani. “Yes, she is a hardworking girl. She is also very competitive. I make sure that she pushed herself to catch up to me,” says Tiger.
Over time he has developed his fan base amongst children, a very unexpected demographic for him. “I didn’t expect them to react the way they did. At that time I just wanted ‘Heropanti’ to do well. I am very blessed that kids have accepted me the way they did. It is very hearting. Whatever little I am it is because of them. I am so lucky to capture their hearts and their attention. I guess they like the way I dance and fight. And so keeping them in mind I choose the stuff I do,” he revealed.
Not a money minder
Even though the actor is just a few films old he is often compared to actors like Varun Dhawan and Ranbir Kapoor who has already reached the Rs100cr club, something that doesn’t interest him much. “They all are eight or nine films old, and I am just three films old. There is a difference. But the fact that you are already putting me in that category means maine kuch tho ukhada life me. I just want to be in the Michel Jackson league,” Tiger laughs.
The actor also shares a very special relationship with his family, especially his father Jackie Shroff. “I never discuss my work with my family. My father and I don’t have a friendship. We have a father-son relationship. He has sheltered me throughout my life and given me such a happy childhood. Never once let me feel that we were short of anything. He used never tell me if anything was bothering him, I used to know andar se. I am just blessed to be his son,” says Tiger with a sense of gratitude.
