Every 90s kid has grown up watching and loving the cult classic ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ which never fails to evoke laughs, even over two decades of its release. Many fans want to see the reunion of their beloved Amar-Prem along with Karisma Kapoor, Raveena Tandon, Teja, Bhalla, Robert and Crime Master Gogo.
There have been several reports of its sequel in the offering or on the scripting stage but to no avail. When BollywoodLife caught up with Raveena Tandon, one of the leads of the film for an interview for her upcoming film ‘Maatr’ and asked if she would want to be a part of the sequel to her popular film, her response was hilarious.
Raveena took a friendly jibe at her co-stars, Aamir and Salman and their tendency to work with younger actresses. Raveena said, “I would love to be a game for it but I know that my photograph is gonna be hanging there. Aamir and Salman will be garlanding me and Lolo and saying ‘hamaari biwiyan mar gayi, ab kya karein” and they will be running after 21-year-old heroines. So that’s how the sequel’s gonna start”.
We must say, even though in jest, Raveen made a valid point of how gender inequality exist in Bollywood and how you really can’t blame them, it has to do with the audiences as well. Meanwhile, Raveena is currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming film, ‘Maatr’ which revolves around a mother’s fight for justice after her daughter is raped and the system fails her.
