The actor, who is awaiting the release of “Padmavati”, is extremely excited and nervous to play the former Indian cricket captain, who led the team to international glory.

“I was born in ’85 and till then cricket had become very big. When Kabir (Khan) Sahab had come to me and said that there will be a film on 1983 cricket world cup win, I was like finally. And when he was narrating it to me, I was like woooh. It is not a story just about cricket but a human story,” Ranveer exclaimed.

The actor also questioned himself on, how is he going to do a film on an iconic cricket caption who has revolutionised Indian cricket. “How am I going to do this? I am honoured that I will be a part of the biggest story. Goosebumps and goosebumps in the second part of the film, right Kabir sir?” Ranveer questioned.

Although Filmmaker Kabir Khan, who has directed some of the big names in the industry revealed that out of all his films, his father-in-law was proud of him only after he told him about this movie. “My father-in-law has never attended any of my films launch but he is here today for this film.
