While a lot has been speculated about the upcoming biopic being made on actor-singer Kishore Kumar, Ranbir Kapoor recently revealed that the film may not take off at all. Ranbir Kapoor was supposed to play the role of the protagonist in this Anurag Basu directorial.

Right after the success of Barfi, Anurag Basu and Ranbir Kapoor decided to collaborate on the Kishore Kumar biopic that traces the journey of the celebrity’s career and personal life. However, soon after, they announced Jagga Jasoos and the two started working on the detective drama. And now, after over a couple of years post the announcement of the Kishore Kumar biopic, Ranbir, during the promotions of his upcoming film Tamasha, mentioned that the film has been facing many issues from the family of the star being unconvinced with the script to casting difficulties, which has led to the shelving of the film.

Though Ranbir Kapoor is disappointed with one biopic being shelved, he has a reason to rejoice since he has signed another biopic on actor Sanjay Dutt, directed by Rajkumar Hirani. Soon after his current commitments, the actor will be meeting Hirani to discuss the details of the film.
