Priyanka Chopra sparked a controversy earlier this month after being featured on Conde Nast Traveller magazine’s cover. It was the T-shirt she wore which had the words Refugee, Immigrant and Outsider crossed out leaving the word Traveller. This hurt the sentiments of many and called out Priyanka Chopra for her insensitivity towards immigrants and refugees.

On Monday, while speaking to a news channel, Priyanka Chopra finally addressed the controversial magazine cover and apologised for the same. She said that she was really apologetic about sentiments being hurt. She has always been against labels. She is very affected and felt really horrible and said that the message was misconstrued. She added that the magazine was very clear that they wanted to send a message about addressing xenophobia with labels. The point the magazine wanted to make was actually something good.

Shortly after the magazine was unveiled and controversy sparked, Conde Nast Traveller magazine had also issued a statement stating how they believed in a world where there are no borders.
