Pooja Chopra’s high on love

The pretty actress knows what she wants, and would not compromise on that

It’s been some time that we saw Pooja Chopra on big screen. She earned a lot of appreciation in Commando but is still waiting for her next script. Ask what she’s up to these days and she quips, “Post Commando, I have been going through a few scripts and had some narrations as well. I have been looking for specific roles and films which could showcase my acting prowess, which are few and far between. I am looking for stories that haven’t been told yet.’

Innovative new age cinema crafted by a crew which is willing to think beyond the rudimentary. Our cinema has a very rich past and we keep on moving ahead with a new style of cinema. I would want to experiment with the films I take up.

Last year, her Ouch with Manoj Bajpayee garnered millions of views on YouTube. About that she says, “Working with Manoj Bajpayee was an experience. He is an actor par excellence. What people don’t know is the humility that comes along with him. At no point did he make me feel like a newcomer. At every press interaction, he spoke highly of my acting abilities, it really encouraged me. He is one of the worthiest mentors I could ever have hoped for.”

And now that we’re talking about love and Valentine’s Day, it is but obvious to talk about her personal life. “I am a true romantic at heart. And I feel that the two most important things that hold a relationship besides love, are trust and respect. I guess love has become more realistic and practical now. Girls no longer expect a knight in shining armour cliche. But I would just suggest that if your partner makes you a better version of yourself, if you feel the happiness in your heart and your eyes gleam when you see that person… Never let go of that person!” she says.
