Pahlaj Nihalani booed as Manoj Bajpayee gathers support

With over a decade of a successful career in the industry, delivering some classic cult movies of Bollywood cinema and being awarded with a national award twice, Manoj Bajpayee’s journey speaks for itself. Recently, the talented actor was falsely accused by the Censor Board chief Pahlaj Nihalani for calling him a “spent force” and later demeaned the actor for the same in public.

A source close to Manoj Bajpayee has informed that the actor is busy promoting his film Budhia Singh and he doesn’t feel the need to give attention on such petty issues. However, his fans and industry fellow mates have expressed their support towards the actor on social media platforms.  Renowned Filmmakers, journalist and the audiences have been sending support messages to the actor and pouring their thought on social media.

Showing support towards his Aligarh actor, director Hansal Mehta shared this on his social media account. “I am most upset that Mr. Nihalani gives such a disparaging interview about him in response to a statement that Manoj Bajpayee has NEVER made! Manoj is a dear, dear friend but more than that he is a remarkable artist with an enviable list of films and performances to his credit. Artistes like him are national treasures and to be spoken of in such a derogatory terms by the CBFC chief is an insult to all the Indian artists.”


When we contacted Manoj Bajpayee, this is what the outstanding actor had to say on the incredible support he has been receiving, “I am overwhelmed with love and support I have received from my friends and well-wishers. I don’t feel the need to comment on such minute issues.”
