Actor Rohit Roy, who hails from Ahmedabad, says he is eager to work for Gujarati cinema. The actor, who is currently enjoying the response to his negative role in Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam starrer Kaabil, feels that the regional cinema is growing.
Speaking to FPJ, the talented actor reveals, “I am always trying to do something different, and experiment with my roles. I have been getting a lot of offers from Gujarati cinema. So I’m hoping to do something in the regional language soon.”
He adds, “It will be really interesting for me because I’m from Ahmedabad. I spent my childhood there so I’m really attached to the place and culture. Also, you need time to do a film. So if everything works out, I will do a Gujarati film. In fact, I want to do films in all languages. I have already done films in Hindi and Bengali. And who know, I may even cross the border one day.” Rohit, who garnered a lot of appreciation with his roles in serials like Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand and Swabhimaan, is also open to work on small screen again.
