‘Not winning the crown was the best thing’, says Nidhhi Agerwal

Miss India pageant has now become a direct entry into the film industry. Even debutant Nidhhi Agerwal says that when she entered the coveted Miss India contest it was a path to fulfil her dream of becoming an actress. Although she did not win, Nidhhi feels that it was the best thing that could ever happen to her.

“It was a sense of disappointment, but my eventual aim was to be an actor. Although I am happy that I have achieved my dream inspite of losing the Miss India crown. My journey has been amazing compared to my fellow contestants so I guess the best thing that happened to me was not winning the crown,” says Nidhhi.

Talking more about her dream of becoming an actor Nidhhi said that she entered the pageant getting inspired by former Miss India turned successful actress like Aishwarya Rai and Priyanka Chopra. “People suggested that I should star with modelling then become an actor. Seeing actress like Aishwarya Rai, Sushmita Sen and Priyanka Chopra become Miss India and then became very successful actors so for me that was the root for the pageant,” says Nidhhi

Newcomer Nidhhi will be debuting opposite Tiger Shroff in the upcoming film, Munna Michael. The debutant plays a character called Dolly, who loves to dance and wants to win the trophy of a major competition called ‘Dance World’ along with Munna (Tiger Shroff).
