Neil’s Shortcut

After a series of flops, Neil Nitin Mukesh had only one release this year and ‘David’ turned out to be an utter flop. Now, after dancing to Gangam Style with Puja Gupta, Neil will be seen in ‘Shortcut Romeo’ yet again in a grey character. “If ‘Shortcut Romeo’ is the title of the movie it’s a little obvious that my character would be a little ‘kameena kisam’. The choreographer is Vishnu Deva… I’m very confident about my first dance performance in a movie,” he says.

On the other hand this would be Puja’s third movie. She debuted with Jackky Bhagnani in ‘FALTU’ and now her second flick ‘Go Goa Gone’ is slated to release soon enough. But at the moment she is awe struck with Neil’s good looks. She says, “I’m really happy about the fact that I have someone like Neil opposite me in my first romantic film. He is one of the most good looking guys in the industry. All my school friends are like ‘oh my God you’re working with Neil… he is a ‘gora chitta’ guy’.”

‘Shortcut Romeo’ is a remake of the 2006 Tamil movie ‘Thiruttu Payalae’ which is being directed by the original film director himself, which is Susi Ganeshan. This would be his directorial debut in Bollywood and we must say nothing could be a safer bet than this. Susi says, “It is a remake of my own super-hit Tamil film… that time it was a super duper film because now Bollywood is making remakes of south films… So, a lot of people approached me for the rights of the film… That’s when I decided I want to produce this film and direct… the film has come out superbly…”
