This film is supposedly Gujarati Superstar Rajdeep’s first Hindi feature film is an antiquated revenge drama with so many holes in the plotting that it’s not even funny. The film at hand is so pitiably wannabe that you can only laugh at the antecedents showcased within.

The ridiculous story revolves around a 55 year old crorepati Kumar (Rajdeep) married to Kamini (Sukhbir Lamba) who appears to be two and a half decades younger than him. This is his second marriage and his daughter from his first marriage, Priya (Shipra) who lives in the USA, is no fan of his young wife. Lamini is an aspiring film producer and gets her husband to bankroll a film for her. In the process of the shooting Kamini’s true colours come to light and Kumar falls prey to her conniving shenanigans. Or does he?

The film is structured as a romantic revenge drama that traverses the ludicrous to arrive at its overly simplified, unflattering climax. The technique on display here is tacky, better suited for television and the performances are largely wooden. Only Sukhbir Lamba manages to grab attention in a rather poorly written and constructed role. Even the treatment, the songs and the background score is entirely joyless. This one sure has the potential to give you sleepless nights!
