A typical Bollywood sex-comedy with unfunny risqué jokes, spoofy innuendo and hyper-acting, ‘Kyaa kool Hain Hum 3’ is a no holds barred attempt at comedy circus but minus the smarts. Reitesh Deshmukh stays away from leading the franchise he made his own, thus making way for an out-of-work Aftab Shivdasani alongside the regular, Balaji brother Tusshar Kapoor. And to display generous reams of near naked booty there’s Mandana Karimi, Gizele Thujral, Claudia Ciesla and Meghna Naidu.
The story is inane. Rocky (Aftab) and Kanhaiya (Tusshar) bump into soft porn producer/director Mickey (Krushna Abhishek) and get conveniently roped in to act in his sleazy sex films. And you wouldn’t want to know why he chose them…rest assured. Kanhaiya falls in love with a beautiful girl (Mandana Karimi) who supposedly has a strict ‘sanskaari’ family- Darshan Zariwala with a parrot in tow, his widowed sister (Sushmita Mukherjee) who talks gibberish , her pug and his minder. And to win their approval he is forced to employ his fellow porn co-stars to act on his behalf. But they are so used to faking sexual moves that they can’t help themselves repeat those acts even while off camera. A few more idiotic characters are added to that milieu set in Bangkok and Pattaya. But there’s really no fun to be had save for a winning cameo appearance from Reitesh Deshmukh as a video store clerk where he clearly , albeit off-handedly indicates his interest in returning to the fourth edition of the franchise.
Successful films are spoofed here but the writing and the acting just doesn’t lead up to any fun. The censor boards’ 150 cuts may have done some damage but methinks it was a god send. The stuff you are made to suffer through here is more than what a decent mind can take. Leave your brains at home if you are still interested in watching this!
