On mother’s day NIKITA WADHAWAN asks celebrities about their special moments with their moms and how influential has she been in their life.

Arshad Warsi

Every day is mother’s day to me. I lost my parents at a very early age and since I used study in a boarding school, so I couldn’t even meet them that often. It really makes me feel their absences. My kids on the other hand celebrate mother’s days with all the excitement. They make cards, do other work for my wife and everything. Mothers mean a lot to everyone.

Boman Irani

My mother means the world to me. She has been my rock and has encouraged me at every sphere of my life – be it education and throughout my journey of becoming an actor. Today whatever I am, it is all because of her. Even today, she guides me whenever I need someone to look up to. With her, I still feel childlike – young and energetic. She truly is my inspiration.

Vir Das

My mom has been the most avid supporter of my stand-up career. I started out performing in a small room in front of 50 people. She has been with me all the way to the stadium. My sense of humour come from her as she has always been able to look at life and laugh at it. She gave me an essential quality to be where I am.

Rohan Mehra

She is like my backbone and the most important part of my life!  My mother has taught me to be patient and focussed. Once when I was a little upset and she was trying to pacify me but instead I just yelled and vented my anger on her! So I regret that incident. Without her I’m nothing and I want to thank her for bringing me in this world.

Karishma Tanna

My mother has been very influential as my father was against me joining the film industry. My mother always encouraged me to follow my dreams. It is because of her I am where I am. I would like to dedicate everything that I have in my life to her. Love mom for such an important support system in my life.

RidhimaPandit

There are so many fond memories as over the years my mother started to become my friend. But the one distinct memory I have is of that the moment when I turned 18, the first thing my mother did was, make me learn how to drive so that I am never dependent on anybody (people or Public transport). It was also so that I don’t give her any excuses to be late at night. Thank you mom.

Sahil Salathia

I’m extremely close to my mother. From the smallest efforts that we put into our mother-son relationship to the biggest dreams that we have achieved together, it has been and continues to be my most important and nourishing relationship. All that I am today is because of her! But I would suggest, that everyone should make the most important person in their life feel special all year round.

Sonali Nikam

I feel due to erratic schedules, I seldom get time to spend with my mom. Though we have our share of fights, but whenever she has any issue, she waits for me to be back from work and then we solve it together. Whatever I am today, if I’m kind, humble or grounded, it is because my mom’s instilled these traits in her children. I always want to make them proud. Love you mom.

Shantanu Maheshwari

My Mom is my inspiration. She is a friend and a motivator. She is the one who saw a dancer in me, she pushed me to take up dance class and participate in dance competition. She has been a very influential figure in my life. Mom you are very special to me. I love you the most and nothing ever can replace your love and respect I have for you in my heart.

Manish Rai Singhan

A mother is that graceful superpower behind every superhero which I aspire to become. She is the reason behind my calm easy going and fun loving attitude. Mom you are special beyond words and beyond measures.

Anuja Sathe

I am head over on heels in love with my mother. She stays in Pune but I am always connected with her. As a daughter, I feel it is our duty to take care of our mother. Although, they do not have expectations while raising us, I feel every kid should pay gratitude by taking care of them as they age. Proving yourself responsible is the biggest happiness one can give to a mother.

Manish Wadhwa

I start everyday with my mother’s blessings. Although 14th May is a very special day for all mothers, but I celebrate it on 5th May as it’s her birthday. Whatever I have today is because of my mother. All she wants me to do is speak the truth always and I follow it religiously. I love my mother, for all her teachings and for being what she is.

Nirbhay Wadhwa

Mother’s Day gives everyone the opportunity to create a special moment with your mother. My mother stays in Jaipur, far away from me as I am always shooting in Mumbai. Mothers do not expect much from us to make them happy. Caring for them, keeping in touch and sharing updates about family and otherwise are little things that makes your mother feel the love.

Rudra Soni

My mom is everything to me; she is my god. My mother always keeps me happy. I always pray to God that my mother should live happily and that she should always remain as healthy as she is. Our bonding is really very nice. The most fun we had was when we went to Singapore together and we both enjoyed there. Love you mom.

Vishal Vashishtha

My mummy is very dear to me. She is like a kid – very restless and hyperactive. As I grew up, I got to know so many things that my mom sacrificed for us- me and my sister, just so that we could be content. But it hardly happens that I go up to my mom and say that I love her. I guess mother’s day is a good day for it.

Mrunal Jain

My mother is my world. She influenced me at every stage. Whatever I am, I am because of her. She encouraged my acting. Once I vented my frustration on her and I feel I should not have, as she can’t be blamed for anything. She loves me unconditionally. My message to mom is: I love you as much as I love myself. I can’t live without you.

Shashank Vyas

My late mother, is daily in my prayers. I wanted to share my life with her. She died when I was struggling as an actor.  She wasn’t there to see the success of Ballika Vadhu. I wish I could tell her how much I love her and miss her.

Mohammad Nazim

My mother encouraged me to come to Mumbai from Punjab. I always want to see her happy. I try never fight with my mom. She is my loving angel. My message to her is that I love you unconditionally and I am successful because of your blessings. Thank you mom. Happy Mother’s Day

Ssharad Malhotraa

My mom is in Kolkata and I am proud to be her son. I talk to her daily and she is constantly upset with me as I don’t eat food on time. So I try to be particular about my eating habits now. I just want to tell her to take care of her health and that I love her. I will always work hard to make her proud. Happy Mother’s day mom.

Rohan Gandotra

I don’t remember anything in my life which I did without asking or telling her. Even if I stay away from her, we are always on touch on phone or facetime and we share everything. We share a beautiful relationship and even if we argue or fight, it’s on a healthy note. Mom you are a part of my strength, just stay by my side as you always do.

Mithun purandare

It has been 11 years since my mother passed away. Although she still inspires me in every way. She has been inspirational in getting the hero out of me. I still miss her a lot and it’s not easy to deal with the loss but I miss her everyday sometimes it’s unbearable. I am what I am because of her. Love you mom and miss you always.

Tanuj virwani

My mom has been one of the biggest influences in my life. Ever since I was a little boy I have seen and admired her in the many hats that she dons – as a mother, a wife, a home maker, a co actor and most of all a human being. I love my own life based on a set of principles inculcated in me by her. She is my ‘map of life‘, my blue print.

Aly goni

She means everything to me. Everyone used to say that I will never be able to do anything. But my mom believed in me and knew that I will succeed. All through my acting career she supported me financially, emotionally and in every other way possible. If she wasn’t there I would’ve not been able to do anything. No one is higher than her in my life than.

Mansi Srivastava

My mother is my inspiration. She has always inspired me to be positive about any situation. Every time am in some trouble or feeling lonely, I know whom to call, she is always ready with food (parathas) and some great advice like Never gives up. She left her job to bring me up. So I always feel obliged for that.

Shoaibh ibrahim

My mother is very simple at heart she forgives people very easily. That is something that I always looks up to it’s a great feeling to have mothers who teach u so much I totally love and adore her and this will never change.

Mohit Rao

My mother greatest gift to me is teaching me respect for women and deeply inculcating a sense of responsibility towards my family. As a parent, I realize the effort it takes to raise a child. But ‘Thank you’ does not even begin to reflect the appreciation for her. So more than just my gratitude, dear Mom, I hope to make you proud of the person I have become during the course of my life.
