Manoj Bajpayee to receive Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Award


The master of impeccable performances of Bollywood, Manoj Bajpayee has time and again proven that he is one of the finest actors in the industry. With his daring choices of roles and zeal to perform beyond his limits, the actor has successfully bagged an award at the honorable DadasahebPhalke Awards 2016.

The prominent award which is India’s highest award in cinema is going to honor the talented actor ManojBajpayee with ‘Best Actor (Critics’Choice) Award’ for his outstanding performance in his last movie ALIGARH. The biopic which features ManojBajpayee in the lead portrays the heart touching story of 64 years old gay professor DrShrinivas Ramchandra Siras, who was detained from his job due to his sexual orientation. The film was recognized by many prominent national and international film festivals and was marked as one of the best movies of ManojBajpayee. This year, the Dadasaheb Phalke Award 2016 is going to take on the occasion of 147th DadasahebPhalkeJayanti at a suburban hotel in Mumbai.
