The slickly-shot entertainer – directed by Vishwas Paandya and produced by Anand Swarup Agarwal & Krishna Datla – revolves around Baba (Manish Paul), who is initiated into his family business when he turns 25 by his father (played by Anupam Kher). However, a professional revelation turns Baba’s personal life upside down and how he comes of age juggling his love life with his professional one form the crux of this comic thriller.
Laced with highly stylized action sequences, the film also stars versatile veterans Anupam Kher and Annu Kapoor in very interesting roles and Kay Kay Menon in a very special appearance.
Hitting the high notes musically is Shaan’s band Superbia that has composed the film’s music.
“It is a crazy journey making a film, and when it is something like Baa Baaa Black Sheep, it is totally crazier. No points for guessing it is about me, ‘Baba’ and my journey from being a guy who doesn’t want responsibilities to someone who actually acquires more than his share of it…” said Paul who is much loved on television, but still to get his share of fame in films. His last release Mickey Virus, which saw him in the leap crashed before it hit the screens but hey, Mr. Paul is still adamant about lead roles and we love him for that.
