Mumbai: Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has ended her silence about the reasons for her absence from social media. During the final episode of ‘Vh1 Inside Access’, she had a talk with MissMalini where in her vanity van where she disclosed some details regarding her absence on social media world.
Terming social media as time consuming, she said during the show, “I am not on social media for many reasons and one of them is that I feel that it’s so consuming. And besides, I feel if I’m on social media I would get really involved. People tell me, open an account because some of them can be brand queries and they want you on social media; it’s mandatory.”
She also revealed that she doesn’t want someone else to handle her account. “Sometimes your agent tell you just open an account and don’t post or let us post. Now, that’s not okay with me, because I have not done anything in my life where I am not involved. I can’t imagine the fact that I am being dishonest on some level that someone else is pretending to be me. I am faking that with millions of people and its sort of having a fake relationship,” she further said. Kangana also said that even if she joined social media, she believes that no one will be interested in her post as she would post something cosmic.
Meanwhile, there are speculations that Kangana’s upcoming film ‘Manikarnika’, which was earlier slated to release on April 27, will now release on August 15. The film is based on the life of brave Indian princess Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi. As Akshay Kumar’s next ‘Gold’ is set to hit the theatres on Independence day as well, both the films might clash on the box office on the same day.
It seems that as Kangana was injured during the shooting of the film, the releasing date has been postponed. While shooting an action sequence for the film, Kangana got injured and was rushed to the hospital. She was asked to take bed rest of two-three weeks because of which the film’s shooting got delayed.
Akshay Kumar’s film Gold is a Hindi-language historical period sports drama based on 1948 summer Olympics where India won gold medal as a free nation. The film is being directed by Reema Kagti and also stars Mouni Roy, Kunal Kapoor, Vineet Kumar Singh, Amit Sadh and Sunny Kaushal.
