Currently on a break from the schedules of his upcoming trilingual comedy film SABASH NAIDU, actor Kamal Haasan fractured his leg after he slipped and fell from the stairs of his office.
Haasan was supposed to attend the London Indian Film Festival (LIFF) this weekend but had to cancel because of the injury. “He was supposed to receive the Lifetime Achievement award at LIFF, which unfortunately he can’t attend in this position,” adds the source.
Talking about the accident, the source revealed that, “On Wednesday night, he was taking the stairs and he suddenly slipped and lost control. The fall resulted in a minor fracture, but there’s nothing to worry. He has been admitted in the Apollo hospital.”
Kamal’s daughter and actress Shruti, took to Twitter to thank Kamal’s well-wishers for their concern. “Thank you for all your messages of concern and well wishes – my father is doing much better!” the “Rocky Handsome” actress wrote.
The next schedule of SABASH NAIDU, which Haasan is directing, is most likely to take place in Hyderabad. In the film, which is being simultaneously shot in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Kamal plays a RAW operative and the role is based on Balram Naidu, the popular character from 2010 Tamil film “Dasavatharam”.
