Bollywood biggies Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan team up for Thugs of Hindostan
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan are all set to come together for Yash Raj Films’ “Thugs of Hindostan”. Bachchan, 73, and Aamir will share the screen space for the first time in the movie, to be directed by “Dhoom 3” helmer Vijay Krishna Acharya (Victor).
The 51-year-old actor said he is excited to work with his icon, whom he has admired all his life. “Finally the moment I have been waiting for has come… To work with my icon, Mr Bachchan! Thanks Adi, Victor, for ‘Thugs of Hindostan’. I’m too thrilled to be working with the actor I have admired all my life,” Aamir posted on Twitter.
The actor, who is geared up for the release of biopic “Dangal” which features him in the lead role of Mahavir Singh Phogat, will start shooting for the YRF project early next year. The leading lady of the film is yet to be announced soon. “Thugs of Hindostan” is slated to release on Diwali 2018.
Jackie to reunite with Big B, Aamir?
Actor Jackie Shroff has been approached for megastar Amitabh Bachchan-Aamir Khan starrer “Thugs of Hindostan”. “Besides the main star cast, the film will also have a strong supporting cast. He (Jackie) has been approached for the film. He has liked the role and given a positive feedback to the team. But he is yet to sign on the dotted line,” sources said.

According to sources, the 59-year-old “Ram Lakhan” star will be seen in a pivotal role in the movie. Jackie and Bachchan earlier worked together in filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s “Eklavya”, while the actor teamed up with Aamir on “Dhoom 3”, which was directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, also the helmer of “Thugs of Hindostan”.
“If all goes as planned he (Jackie) will be seen in opening part of the film. Like how it was in ‘Dhoom 3’,” sources said. The makers are working out the dates and other things with Jackie.
