First look: After Ranveer Singh’s Alauddin Khilji avatar, Raza Murad shares his look from Padmavati

After playing the hide and seek for a really long time, the lead actors of Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s ‘Padmavati’ finally revealed the character posters on social media. With Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and now Ranveer Singh, all the three stars and their characters looks have been highly appreciated. Last night, Ranveer Singh unveiled the posters of the menacing and daunting Sultan Alauddin Khilji that has created a lot of buzz online.

Now, following the suit is veteran actor Raza Murad who took everyone by surprise by sharing his look as Sultan Jalaluddin Khilji on his Facebook page. Although Raza later took down his photograph and his post, many fan pages picked up the post and shared it.

Raza Murad shared the look along with a description of his character. “This is my look in Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s ‘Padmavati‘. I am playing Jalaluddin Khilji who was the first ruler of Khilji dynasty in India. He ruled India(1290-1296) for six years and was killed by his paternal nephew and son in law, Alauddin Khilji, who took over the throne after killing his uncle and father in law- Ranveer Singh has played Allaudin Khilji. ‘Padmavati’ is obviously Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor is Rawal Ratan Singh, Ruler of Chittor, Deepika’s husband. The film would be released on 1st December, all over the world,” he said.

Compared to Ranveer Singh’s Sultan Alauddin Khilji, Raza Murad’s look is quite muted despite both of them playing well known emperors. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Padmavati releases on December 1, 2017.
