Mumbai: The hit Bollywood jodi from the 90s, Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit, have come together again to share screen in the upcoming Hindi film ‘Total Dhamaal’. Last week, both the actors adorned the Mehboob Studio with their footsteps to a shoot a title track for the film.
As they walked into the studio, they were greeted with awed silence. “It’s as if time has stood still for them. They look so fresh and glowing. The DoP on the film is Japanese and she is delighted that in every close-up the couple looks radiant,” a source from the set told Pune Mirror.
While Anil Kapoor wore a jacket for the song, Madhuri sizzled in a red carpet-ready gown. The veteran co-stars will be dressed simply throughout the film. “The beauty lies in their evergreen good looks, attributing it to simple living and positive thinking. Both are homely people, their lives center around their families. They work, go home, sleep early and wake up early, and it reflects on their faces. Not an extra ounce anywhere, not a line that hasn’t come from maturity,” asserted the source from the set.
“Madhuri pulled off the jhatkas and matkas with effortless ease, leaving everyone including her leading man mesmerised. When other cast of the film Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh, Javed Jaffrey and Sanjay Mishra joined them, it upped the fun and what was supposed to be three days of work was wrapped up in two,” the source added.
Madhuri Dixit and Anil Kapoor were a superhit Bollywood jodi during the 90s, who worked together in a number of films like Beta, Ram Lakhan, Kishen Kanhaiya, Jamai Raja, Khel and Tezaab. ‘Total Dhamaal’ is being directed by Indra Kumar. It is the sequel to 2011 film Double Dhamaal and the third installment of the Dhamaal film series.
