Dalip Tahil and Milind Gunaji team up after a hiatus of 18 years for UMEED! ​

Prominent veteran actors Dalip Tahil and Milind Gunaji will soon be seen together in director Rajat Mukherjee’s directorial venture ‘Umeed’ after Zulmi in 1999 starring Akshay Kumar.

Besides the professional equation that the two actors share, they have been close friends for the longest time. However, they have teamed up after a long hiatus of 18 years having last worked together in the Akshay Kumar starrer 1999 film ‘Zulmi’.Veteran actor Dalip Tahil who has worked in more than 200 odd films with almost all the popular actors from Shah Rukh Khna to Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar to Amitab Bhachchan where Milind Gunaji has worked more than 50 Hindi, Marathi and Telugu, Punjabi, Kannada language movies. Milind has worked in popular TV series like Dharti Ka Veer YodhaPrithviraj Chauhan, Veer Shivaji and a few more.

​While Dalip Tahil and Milind Gunaji were preparing for this film, they had to visit medical camps in the rural areas and villages of Maharsahtra so they spent much time together discussing and remembering their old memories. Also they have discussed how the technology has been changed and emerged as a magical element for the filmmakers in Bollywood, in the last 18 years.
Meanwhile both the actors have worked in many big and hit films. Dalip has worked in Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai (2000), Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani (2000), Partner (2007), Race (2008) . Milind Gunaji was appeared in Devdas (2002), LOC Kargil (2003), Aan: Men at Work, (2004), Khatta Meeta (2010), The Ghazi Attack (2017 The two actor buddies are delighted to finally share screen space together in the upcoming film ‘Umeed’.

‘Umeed’, a medical espionage film which revolves around a celebrity who gets misused in the unethical drug trial, comprises of an ensemble cast with characters inspired by real life personalities. Umeed is produced by Welcome Friends productions.
