Veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai, who is known for his classic cult movies from the ‘90s and popularly known as the Showman of Bollywood, recently took time out from his busy schedule for a social cause. The renowned filmmaker along with his few industry friends took part in the recent Versova beach cleaning drive.

The drive which was attended by around 200 plus residents of Versova was conducted with an aim to clean the huge collection of garbage formed at the beach. The director and the owner of Whistling Woods International & Mukta Arts Pvt. Limited took keen interest in the drive and also urged his students to make this environment a better place to live. In the past, Subhash Ghai has been closely associated with drives which are for society’s welfare and has displayed a keenness to enhance the world.

Talking about it, Subhash Ghai says, “It was a wonderful feeling today to be part of this amazing clean up drive at Versova beach. My friend Afroz Shah had invited me to join the cleanup drive along with 200 residents who were gathered with their selfless passion to clean the garbage. We received great support from the BMC too who were present there. It was a real scene of Swach Bharat inspired drive. We are soon going to re-initiate it and I would urge all my students of Whistling Woods International and all the citizens to join in!”
