Athiya Shetty has reportedly been pencilled in to feature in Siddharth Anand’s action film, playing daughter to Sanjay Dutt in the film. An out-and-out action flick, Dutt has already started training for it while Athiya too will supposedly have several hard-core action sequences in the film.
This film could just help turn Athiya’s career around which went into hibernation post her less-than-spectacular debut in HERO (2015), a Salman Khan production opposite Sooraj Pancholi. The wait, though, hasn’t been all bad. Athiya had revealed in the past that she had been looking forward to being on various different sets, learning, absorbing and generally being happy with the work she was doing.
The girl, who one assumes to be shy and quiet, reveals that she is actually neither of these! Apparently, one just needs to really connect with her to see her crazy side. That does take a while though as she admits that it takes a lot for her to open up to people.
The after-math post HERO was not exactly memorable but Athiya claims that in that short time she learnt how to be confident. Her experiences in the industry helped her feel surer of herself and more certain of who she is and what she wants. Of course, she does not see all her goals penned down in black and white yet… Instead, she charmingly admits that she does not know what she wants to achieve, but she does know that she definitely wants to achieve a lot!
Candid and cute, she reveals that while growing up she did not watch many of her dad Suniel Shetty’s films because he did mostly action films initially. Not averse to action per se, it was the sight of her daddy getting beaten up – even if it was only onscreen – that she found unbearable. Her favourite film featuring Daddy? HERA PHERI. She loves this comedy so much she can watch it repeatedly and find it as enjoyable.
Speaking of enjoyment, she is thrilled that she can really relish her food without worrying about calories. Working out five days a week is all she does to maintain that lissom figure. Talk about her fashionista status and she admits that she has been trying to express her personality through the way she dresses. A fan of the boho-chic look, she admits to being partial to the boyfriend jeans and blazer look in women’s fashion. Even as she stays hooked on to her fave TV shows like ‘Friends’ and ‘Grey’s Anatomy’, she never stops stressing! Stress is evidently what keeps her going, and it’s actually something she likes about herself! Athiya Shetty doesn’t believe in de-stressing: if she’s not stressed, she actually stresses about stressing!
