Asha Bhosle’s soulful voice brings back memories in ‘Begum Jaan’s ‘Prem mein Tohre’


The trailer of the ‘Begum Jaan’ was immensely intense and it was loved by everyone. Vidaya Balan was seen in powerful character as she plays the titular role of Begum Jaan the madam of brothel. The movie is dramatic remake of the Bengali film ‘Rajkahini’. The makers have landed up with the first song from the movie ‘Prem mein tohre’.

The song shows the life of brothel, intense emotion of the girls working in it and their love for small happiness. Picturisation of the song is done beautifully catching up all the emotions in camera which show the reality of the society.

The song is sung by the famous singer of Bollywood Asha Bhosle who has put the soul in the song her sweet voice is really deep and says a lot of things in the songs; Anu Malik has composed the song and his music just flow with Asha Bhosle voice.

Each and every character in the song has portrayed fantabulous acting. The film is set against the backdrop of India’s Independence but unlike Rajkahini that was set in Bengal, ‘Begum Jaan’ is set in Punjab. The film also stars Naseeruddin Shah, Gauahar Khan, Pallavi Sharda, Ila Arun, Chunky Pandey among others. Directed by Srijit Mukherji, ‘Begum Jaan’ is slated to release on April 14.
