However, Bollywood stars also get caught in some trouble with law, whether it is over an electric junction box, illegal construction case, blocking access etc.

Anushka Sharma
A notice had been issued to Phillauri actress Anushka Sharma by K west ward of BMC to remove an electric junction box outside her flat in the passage of Badrinath Tower of 20th floor in Versova. But, now she got a clean chit.

Rishi Kapoor
BMC filed an FIR against Rishi Kapoor at Khar police station for trimming a tree more than what was permitted and chopping off its branches at his Pali Hill bunglow in June.

Amitabh Bachchan
Bollywood super star Amitabh Bachchan got involved in a farm land allotment case. A government land of 70,000 sq ft in UP was allotted to the actor which was challenged by the court. However, later Bachchan got a clean chit.

Arjun Kapoor
Mubarakan actor Arjun Kapoor encroached on the terrace of his 7th floor at Raheja Orchid in Juhu for constructing a 30-by-16 sq ft brick room without permission, BMC reports. Later, BMC demolished the illegal terrace gym.

Irrfan Khan
Irrfan Khan was allegedly carrying out illegal construction in his DLH Enclave’s 5th floor flat, BMC reports. It is the same housing society in which comedian Kapil Sharma owns a flat. Irrfan Khan also got the same judgement as Kapil Sharma.

Shah Rukh Khan
Bollywood badshah Shah Rukh Khan was involved in an illegal construction case outside Mannat bungalow in Mumbai. According to reports, Shah Rukh build an illegal ramp and it created problems for local people nearby, and it was blocking access to Mt. Mary Church. Later, the ramp was demolished by BMC official and Khan was charged a fine of Rs 1.94 lakh.

Salman Khan
Salman Khan was charged in a hit-n-run case in Mumbai. According to reports, Salman was allegedly drunk in a party was driving the car which hit local people sleeping at a footpath. The case was filed in the police station and further brought to the high court. Salman escaped after his legal team managed to prove that his driver was driving the car at the time of accident. According to latest reports, a Supreme Court judge wants to reopen the case after watching his movie Tubelight. The PIL for re-opening of the case was filed by the judge of the original case, Mr C.L. Asthana himself.

Kapil Sharma
Comedian-actor Kapil Sharma was in the news after he allegedly carried out an authorised construction in his DLH Enclave’s 9th floor flat. The news kicked up a row when he tweeted that the BMC officers sought a bribe of Rs. 5 lakh for the construction of his premises in Versova. Kapil moved to the Bombay High Court challenging the BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC)’s order to demolish “illegal portions” of his Versova.

Sanjay Dutt
Sanjay Dutt was arrested in connection with the 1993 serial blasts in Mumbai. The actor was arrested and jailed for 16 months between 1994-96 under the TADA (Prevention Act) for illegal possession of firearms. He served his jail term in Pune’s Yerwada prison. Currently, Sanju baba is busy in shooting for his upcoming film ‘Bhumi’. The biopic made on Sanjay Dutt life in which Ranbir Kapoor plays his role is set to release on 30th March, 2018.

Shilpa Shetty
Shilpa Shetty Kundra and her husband Raj Kundra were booked over online shopping TV show Best Deal – for allegedly cheating a textile firm owner of Rs 24 lakh. The case was registered at Mumbai police station.

Saif Ali Khan
After the black buck case, Saif Ali Khan got into trouble, when he allegedly manhandled and punched a South African businessman seated next to the actor’s clan consisting of Kareena Kapoor, her sister Karisma Kapoor, Amrita Arora and her husband Shakeel Ladak, and Malaika Arora Khan at the Wasabi Restaurant in Taj, Colaba. The actor was booked for assault under section 325 of IPC and got arrested only to be released on bail.

Tabu, Neelam and Sonali Bendre
In black buck poaching case, Salman Khan was the main accused. Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Neelam and Sonali Bendre from ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ were co-accused. The three actress have to be present at all the hearing concerning the case.

John Abraham
Actor tuned film producer John Abraham’s next production venture titled Hamara Bajaj seems to have run into a spot of legal trouble. The film which is being directed by Shoojit Sircar has apparently received a legal notice from the automotive major Bajaj, challenging the title of the film.

Sooraj Pancholi
Jiah Khan’s mysterious death sent the nation into dizzy. Actor Sooraj Pancholi was in relationship with Jiah at the time when she committed suicide. According to reports, Jiah was in depression and hung herself at her residence. Young Sooraj found himself behind bars on June 10, 2013 for allegedly abetting actress and his ex-girlfriend, Jiah Khan’s suicide but was later released on bail. Her mother is looking forward for daughter justice from the court.

Navjot Singh Sidhu
A petition was filed against Navjot Singh Sidhu by an advocate in Punjab for cracking a vulgar jokes on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. Sidhu on the ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’, cracked a joke about a fellow-politician who returned from the loo with his zipper open.
